Developing a Strategic Approach to Direct Mail

Most nonprofit organizations include direct mail in their donor acquisition and donor development activities. This session emphasizes the importance of the planning process, donor segmentation and profiling, and targeted communication and media planning. The direct mail process does not occur in isolation and is best regarded as a loop beginning with prospect identification and continuing through the appeal process and response analysis to influence the organization’s overall fund development strategy.
